The Minister of National Defense, Angel Tilvar, stated that there is the possibility of training Ukrainian soldiers on Romanian territory, in multiple fields, reports Agerpres.

The minister is part of Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu's delegation to the United States of America.

"I was in London last week and I met with the new Minister of Defense Mr. Grant Shapps and he told me how much he appreciates the Romanian instructors, because Romania is involved, along with Great Britain, in a training program, Interflex," he pointed out.

In this sense, the Minister of Defense said that "there are multiple cadres and possibilities".

"This is a possibility, plus there is the EUMAM mission - EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine, having a European format, which also aims to train the Ukrainian military. It depends on what the training needs are - if they are maritime level, mountain hunters level and so on," he mentioned.
