The Ministry of Finance has targeted ghost companies, and more precise criteria for declaring their inactivity will be introduced in the second reform package.
Almost half a million inactive companies are blocking the market, and over 120.000 of them have debts of 3.5 billion lei, says Minister Alexandru Nazare, in a message on Facebook.
Alexandru Nazare: It is not fair for the taxpayer who respects his obligations to the Tax Administration to have so many companies that do not respect their obligations and stay under the radar and carry out all kinds of evasion, fraud operations, without being truly controlled. We are bringing all these companies to the surface, obliging them to either declare their activity again and enter the correct area within one-three months, or they will be dissolved, liquidated and deregistered.
