Romania “does not need permanent austerity”

Romania does not need permanent austerity, but long-term plans - says AUR senator Catalin Silegeanu, referring to the measures taken by the government to reduce the budget deficit.
In his opinion, these measures discourage communities, weaken public services, drive away specialists and affect the trust between people and the state.
The AUR senator also says that a functional state is not one that is weakened to the maximum, but one that works for its citizens, and austerity is not the miraculous solution to solving problems.
