PSD prepares a package for the "economic relaunch of Romania"

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan discussed for almost three hours on Monday with representatives of the Association of Municipalities of Romania, dissatisfied with the provisions of the Emergency Ordinance that provides for the suspension of financing through the "Anghel Saligny" program and the NRRP, for projects that have a low degree of completion or have not yet been started.

They say that the cessation of these projects will affect the development of local communities from an economic and educational point of view.

Discontent came again on Monday from the PSD, which believes that the current form of the draft emergency ordinance must be revised, because an objective examination of projects that are in an advanced stage of execution is necessary.

The Social Democrats reaffirmed their position of not participating in the coalition meetings, but will be present at the technical discussions regarding the second package of measures to reduce the budget deficit, especially for the areas related to taxation and public administration. Reporter: The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, explained that each project carried out through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan must be analyzed objectively.

PSD demands a review of the draft ordinance

He admitted that the adoption of the government ordinance on investments is necessary, but stated that some of the measures provided can be improved.

Sorin Grindeanu: It is necessary to adopt such an ordinance, but there are nuances that can be improved, it is a position that not only the PSD has. There have been many discussions in recent days regarding this ordinance, cross-party discussions. Mayors from PNL, even mayors from USR and UDMR, are also coming up with proposals to improve this ordinance that must be adopted in the coming period.

Sorin Grindeanu drew attention to the fact that, in addition, measures are needed to revive Romania's economy and announced that PSD is preparing such a package to be presented publicly in the coming period.

The interim president of the Social Democrats stated that all decisions must be taken by consensus and respected by all parties that form the government.
