The Saint Mary mini-vacation is the busiest weekend on the Romanian seaside this summer season.
The Resto Constanta employers’ association stated that according to the authorized accommodation places at the seaside, there are currently 155.000 tourists, but, in reality, their number is several tens of thousands higher, in the context of which there are many unauthorized accommodation structures.
Many Romanians have chosen mountain resorts for this mini-vacation, with guesthouses and hotels in Brasov County being almost full, due to several cultural events being announced these days.
Authorities expect busy roads and resorts.
Police are calling on drivers to drive cautiously, respect speed limits and avoid dangerous overtaking.
