TAROM has so far received around 600 claims for compensation following the cancellation of several flights early last week.

However, the air operator points out that the vast majority of the claims do not provide complete data for initiating payments, and states that information is required on the passenger's name, flight number, a copy of the travel tickets and reservation code, and if applicable - proof of payment for the additional expenses incurred.

It is also necessary to indicate which method of compensation is chosen - cash or e-voucher.

The company has set up a dedicated e-mail address: despagubire8iulie@tarom.ro, where all these details are sent, together with the bank account details if passengers choose to pay by cash.

The compensation is between €250 and €750, depending on the type of flight canceled and the method of compensation chosen.

As a reminder, on July 8, several TAROM pilots declared themselves unfit to fly - an unofficial protest against the level of salaries and working conditions.
