Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is holding talks at the Government headquarters with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, ahead of a new meeting of the executive branch, scheduled to begin on Thursday evening. We have details from RRA editor Andrei Serban: "Yes, it is true, here, at the Victoria Palace, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan is discussing with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and after that, at 7:30 p.m., the second meeting of the executive is scheduled to approve the draft state budget for this year.
The first meeting of the government took place this morning, which did not debate this year's budget, because at that time the draft did not have all the necessary approvals. Regarding the budget, I remind you that Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said that they must reduce the deficit to 6.2% of GDP, maintain a high level of investments and put the economy on a healthier footing.
PSD announced that its ministers will approve the budget with objections and stressed that moving the debate to Parliament will allow the coalition parties to re-discuss the elements they proposed.
There are also other normative acts on the agenda for Thursday evening's meeting, such as the decision regarding the value of the gross minimum wage in the economy this year. This wage will increase to 4.325 lei from July 1, until this date, that is, in the first half of the year, the value of 4.050 lei was maintained.”
