The Bucharest Transport Company (STB) draws attention to a fake message posted on a social media page promoting a card that can be used for free travel on STB transport.

"Attention! False message promoted on Facebook. A post on a social media page falsely promotes a message referring to the public transport service in Bucharest. In the image accompanying the post with the false message, STB SA identity elements are used - namely the bus, the active card. We would like to point out that these images are being used fraudulently, without STB SA's consent", STB representatives said.

The posted message promotes a travel card that can be used for free travel on STB transport, but the company says there is no such thing.

The Bucharest Transport Company (STB) has started the procedure to report this message to Facebook and the Romanian Police.

STB representatives advise passengers to consult the official STB SA website to find out the conditions of travel by public transport.
