Romania maintains its commitment to provide lasting support to Ukraine, in close coordination with NATO and the European Union, the Ministry of National Defense announced on Thursday.
The Ministry of National Defense emphasizes that "Romania's military air infrastructure represents a strong point on the Eastern Flank of the North Atlantic Alliance for deterrence and defense".
Thus, the Romanian Air Force has F-16 combat aircraft, and recently, at the Mihail Kogalniceanu Military Base, the certification of a detachment of the German Air Force took place, which performs Reinforced Air Policing missions, in cooperation with the Romanian military, for the defense of NATO airspace.
