President Donald Trump joined the videoconference of the Coalition of Volunteers for Ukraine on Thursday afternoon, which met to display a new message of solidarity with Kiev in front of Russia and to finalize security guarantees for the post-war Ukrainian state.
So far, only six states have committed to sending troops to Ukraine after the end of the war: France, Great Britain, Belgium and the Baltic states.
However, the German Chancellor says that although military aid to Ukraine will continue, troops will not be on the territory of this country, not even after a ceasefire.
Participating in the videoconference, President Nicusor Dan showed that transatlantic unity and coordination represent a strong point in front of Russia.
The head of state welcomed the participation of the United States in the meeting, stating that American involvement remains essential in the attempt to reach a ceasefire and lasting peace in Ukraine.
The Romanian President also stressed that pressure on Russia must be maintained and added that Romania supports the adoption of additional sanctions against Moscow.
