On Wednesday, September 25, the government is granting 15.000 lei in vouchers to people affected by the recent floods to buy household appliances and pay for heating fuel.

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu at the start of the government meeting, who said that local authorities in the county of Galati will also receive money to repair the destroyed roads.

"We are granting 15.000 lei, with which they can replace their destroyed goods, and the money can also be used to buy fuel to heat their homes. We estimate that more than 6.000 individuals or families will benefit from this aid. In addition, we are allocating 62 million lei to local authorities in Galati. The money is needed to repair county roads, bridges, culverts destroyed or severely damaged by floods", announced Marcel Ciolacu.

He also announced that the Executive will extend until the end of the year the price cap on RCA policies in order to prevent the emergence of imbalances in the market and the increase in prices of these car insurance policies.
