Four major trade union confederations announce protests, on Wednesday, in front of the Government against the austerity measures adopted by the executive.
The unions are demanding an increase in the minimum wage and pensions, fair taxation of labor, as well as the protection of jobs and investment in the economy, without resorting to massive layoffs.
Vasile Zelca, president of the National Police Union: At a time when the minimum wage in the economy is well below the minimum basket established by law, this petty crime is increasing greatly. We are taking to the streets out of solidarity for all categories affected by these aberrant measures from the Government, because we are also analyzing the possibility of blocking the system, similar to the way the magistrates did it, if these austerity measures continue and will affect even more public and private sector employees.
