EPP leader in the European Parliament: Message of support for Romania

The leader of the European People's Party group in the European Parliament, Manfred Weber, has expressed his confidence in democracy and institutions in Romania, in the context of recent developments.

Also on Thursday, the embassies of France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain posted messages of support for Romania on the X platform, expressing their confidence in the justice system and respect for democratic values.

The messages were posted shortly after each other and came a day after the criminal investigation against Calin Georgescu was launched.
