AUR has gathered the necessary number of signatures to submit a motion of no confidence

AUR representatives announce that they have managed to gather the necessary number of signatures to submit a motion of no confidence against the government, with the support of SOS and POT parliamentarians.

Ramona Bruynseels, MP: How, gentlemen, can you touch the child-rearing allowance? How can you take money away from babies' diapers? How can you touch the scholarships of children who go to school? How can you touch the scholarships of those children who, being deserving, go home with a penny and proudly show it to their parents and save it, and this money is the strongest motivation for them to excel and go to school? We cannot agree with such measures. That is precisely why we cannot join hands with them, but are against this package and against this government. It is clear that this government must go. That is precisely why we are here before you and are tabling this motion of censure.

If the motion is not adopted in Parliament, AUR intends to challenge the package of fiscal measures for which the government has assumed responsibility in Parliament before the Constitutional Court.
