28-year prison sentence for mother who repeatedly beat her daughter two years ago, causing her death

The Galati Court of Appeal sentenced the mother who repeatedly beat her 9-year-old daughter two years ago, ultimately causing her death, to 28 years in prison. The investigation also revealed that the woman tortured her children, both Alexandra, the girl who died, and her two sisters, aged 7 and 4.
The woman's inhumane behavior was also known to the children's uncle and aunt, who lived in the same apartment and concealed the facts, for which they were also sentenced to 18 years in prison for complicity in aggravated murder.
Both the murderous mother and her two relatives were also ordered by the court to pay a total of 300.000 lei in moral damages to Alexandra's two sisters, who are now in the care of the state, according to RRA correspondent Maria Mandita.
