"Traffic Control" for all freight trucks transiting Romania

As of 2020, all freight trucks involved in internal EU transport, which pass through customs in Romania, will be monitored with the help of an information platform called "Traffic Control".
According to Romanian Minister of Finance, Eugen Teodorovici, about 60 percent of the total economic delinquencies registered in Romanian customs involve transport from the European single market.
Minister Eugen Teodorovici: "When you want to transit Romania, you register, you state very clearly what is it that you are transporting, from where to where you take them, if you go through Romania without unloading. Smart seals applied to each means of transport, regardless of its tonnage, will be required (…) Hungary and Bulgaria already apply this, so will Romania".
