The water supply needed by the population is secured

The National Administration of Romanian Waters assures that, at this time, the water supply needed by the population and the main economic agents is secured.
The filling coefficient of the 40 main reservoirs is over 87% and can ensure the water needs of all beneficiaries who are centrally supplied from surface sources.
However, out of the 120 sections monitoring the drought phenomenon, 26 are recording flows below the minimum required to meet demand.
The Romanian Water Administration recommends prioritizing consumption for essential household needs and complying with restrictions on irrigation, industry, and other activities where these have been imposed.
