The number of COVID-19 cases decreased compared to the previous day, this situation being a premiere for the last two months in Romania.
The number remains high. 113.540 people are currently infected with the new coronavirus, over 5.800 being diagnosed in the 24 hours since the last report, most in Bucharest, 1.222, and in Brasov County about 600.
The afternoon report also indicates a higher number of people cured compared to new cases, more than 7.800.
However, there are almost 13.500 people hospitalized with COVID-19, 1.174 of them in Intensive Care Units, and over 60.000 are in isolation at home or in institutionalized quarantine.
