RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - The number of cases of COVID-19 is increasing again. The latest report from the authorities shows last week's total about five times higher than a month ago. More than 4.700 people have been reported infected, and this week the numbers are even higher. However, we cannot speak of an overcrowding of hospitals, says the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila.

Alexandru Rafila: "We have around 1.000 cases a day at the moment, but we are only discussing a, let's say, agglomeration at the level of infectious diseases hospitals, but the measures that are also taken when it comes to the flu, for example, are similar for the infection with the new coronavirus. We will probably have one or two more weeks of growth and, afterwards, the situation will begin to return to normal. The measures are those that are usually taken, when we discuss a respiratory communicable disease, each health facility takes internal measures. They are empowered by law to limit transmission.”
