The government is continuing the "Hot Meals in Schools" program for the nearly 1.9 million children who go to kindergarten or school.

They will receive fruit, vegetables, dairy and bakery products, and local authorities and school principals will be responsible for the smooth running of the program, according to the government spokesman Mihai Constantin:

Mihai Constantin: On a weekly basis, children in kindergartens and schools, up to and including the 8th grade, will receive two portions of fruit and vegetables, three portions of milk or dairy, two portions of dairy products and five bakery products. In addition, they will also be taught why it is important to eat healthy through nutrition education included in the program.
