Romania continues to be the largest European exporter of cereals in the first quarter of the 2025-2026 marketing year, announced Minister of Agriculture Florin Barbu.
According to him, Romania is also setting absolute financial records in the livestock sector, with total sales of almost half a billion euros in the first ten months of the year for live animals.
Florin Barbu emphasizes that these results confirm the effectiveness of the measures adopted over the last two and a half years by the Ministry of Agriculture.
These include reforming the subsidy system, introducing state aid schemes dedicated to animal husbandry, and directing European funds towards investments in farms, processing, and animal welfare.
In total, the Ministry of Agriculture has made over three billion euros available to farmers for investments, both from European and national funds, according to a statement from the institution.
