President Nicusor Dan’s message on Ukraine’s Independence Day

President Nicusor Dan reiterates Romania’s support for Kiev’s legitimate effort to defend itself against the Russian aggression, in his message on Sunday on Ukraine’s Independence Day.
He states that Romania will also support Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts, as well as its path to European integration.
The Head of State salutes the courage and resilience shown by both the Ukrainian armed forces and the civilian population in defending the country’s independence and territorial integrity.
Message from the President of Romania:
On the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, I convey to the Ukrainian citizens my warmest congratulations and my sincere wishes for peace and security.
In the face of Russia’s continued aggression against your country, I would like to reiterate Romania’s support for Ukraine’s legitimate effort to defend itself.
We will also support Ukraine's reconstruction efforts and your path towards European integration.
We admire the courage and resilience shown by both the Ukrainian armed forces and the civilian population in defending the country's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. Your determination serves as a powerful example of the struggle for freedom and democracy against an autocratic enemy.
On this special day, I wish our Ukrainian friends renewed strength and unwavering hope for a better future.
