Politicians react to the ban on Calin Georgescu's candidacy

Reactions that Calin Georgescu should be allowed to run came from several politicians. One of them is Victor Ponta, who also announced his intention to enter the presidential race.
Victor Ponta: "Absolutely everyone who wants to run should run, including Mr. Calin Georgescu, to be very clear. Also, Romania is broken right now and is in a war that we didn't need, because, beyond that, the economic crisis, the budget problems and the international problems are very serious."
PSD MEP Marius Budai also believes that, from an electoral point of view, a person who entered the race for the Cotroceni Palace should have run and eventually been defeated at the polls. He added that it remains to be seen what the Constitutional Court's decision will be in the case of the appeal announced by Calin Georgescu.
Marius Budai: "If we are talking about a legal issue, then it was voted as such. It's very good that there is still a remedy, the appeal to the Constitutional Court. However unhappy you may be with one decision or another, in this case the decision of the Central Electoral Bureau, I believe that any incitement to violence has no place, because it will only create frustration, it will lead to violence between Romanians and this is not desirable and I do not think it is the right solution."
