Over 150 tourist destinations in the country qualify for "Destination of the Year"

More than 150 tourist destinations from all over the country have qualified for next year's "Destination of the Year" competition.
They cover a diversity of regions and were selected by a jury of over 100 experts.
Competition founder Mihai Barsan: "Destination of the Year" is a flagship project that aims to boost national pride by fueling Romanians' desire to choose Romania as a tourist destination. It provides a platform through which Romanian destinations, in several categories, from cities to villages to fairytale lands, can compete and in this way show Romanians what there is to see in their country. We also have the ambition to promote Romania abroad.
The Destination of the Year competition is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Economy.
