The decision by which the Constitutional Court rejected the appeal regarding the reform of magistrates' pensions was welcomed by President Nicusor Dan, who stated that the recalibration of the calculation method of these pensions is a gesture of fairness.
Ilie Bolojan added that steps will be taken to recover money from the NRRP milestone related to this reform.
PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu also referred to this aspect after welcoming the completion of discussions at the Constitutional Court level regarding magistrates' pensions.
"I have not commented, and will not comment from now on, on the decisions of the Constitutional Court. I also made an appeal for a decision to be made. It is good that this topic has been closed. From now on, it is the job of Minister Pislaru to do his job and not lose the money that we have been talking about", said Sorin Grindeanu.
In fact, the Minister of Investments and European Projects announced immediately after the Constitutional Court decision, in a post on the Internet, that he would make all formal and informal diplomatic efforts to try to save the situation of the special pension milestone and the 231 million euros, non-refundable European money.
Dragos Pislaru said that in the coming hours he will have discussions with European officials regarding the evolution of the situation, and after the president promulgates the law, he will request the European Commission to re-examine Request number 3, although there is a delay of more than two months compared to the assumed deadline of November 28, 2025.
