The improvement in weather conditions and the intervention of snow removal equipment led to the resumption of traffic on all sections of the A0, A1, A3 and A7 motorways, which had been closed due to snowfall and blizzard.
According to the Infotrafic Center, the access road junctions to the A1 motorway are still restricted, and they will gradually open.
Reporter: Mihaela Dumitrescu - There are also problems on the national roads in the counties of Buzau, Braila, Ialomita, Ilfov, Tulcea and Vrancea.
Winter traffic in Constanta
There is winter traffic in Constanta County. Temporary restrictions have been imposed on the A2 and national roads regarding the weight of vehicles.
As reported by Radio Romania News correspondent Sorin Cealera, on County Road 391, between Mangalia and Negru Voda, traffic will be in a column, with a traffic police escort, as the road is covered in ice and sleet, with strong gusts of wind.
Trains and flights canceled
CFR Calatori canceled a total of 58 trains on Wednesday, and for Thursday the company announced that there will be nine trains that will not depart.
Also, several flights were canceled due to heavy snowfall and strong blizzard at "Henri Coanda" Airport in Bucharest.
Flights may experience delays due to the need to de-ice aircraft, but also due to operations made difficult on the ground because of the snowfall. Dozens of equipment are being deployed.
Recommendations for travelers
Authorities recommend that those who want to travel by any means (road, rail or air) to inform themselves about the travel conditions.
As of this time, the counties of Calarasi, Ialomita, Braila, Constanta and Tulcea are still under an orange snowfall code until 23:00.
