"Not having natural gas resources is not going to happen"

RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - Romania will have no problems with natural gas because it is the second largest producer in Europe, said today the Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu.

He also said that stocks will be restored in the spring.

Virgil Popescu: "Not having natural gas resources is not going to be one of out problems. We have gas in storage. Obviously, spring is coming, and we will introduce the obligation to store gas. For next winter, we will have warehouses filled at the maximum capacity with natural gas. We have gas production, as I said before, we are looking for diversification of supply routes and gas producers - LNG, Azerbaijani gas, from other sources - American, Qatari, Saudi Arabia, UAE, so we are in touch with them and believe me, we will not have problems with the supply of natural gas."
