Nicusor Dan welcomes NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to Cotroceni

President Nicusor Dan will welcome NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to Cotroceni Palace on Wednesday, during his first visit to Romania since taking over the leadership of the Alliance.

The visit by the senior NATO official takes place in the context of his participation in the North Atlantic Alliance Forum for the Defense Industry, an event dedicated to strategic dialogue with related industries in allied countries.

The agenda for the discussions between the Romanian head of state and Mark Rutte will include the threats facing the Alliance, especially on its eastern flank, as well as ways to increase Romania's security and collective defense and deterrence capabilities, according to RRA editor Oana Bala.
