Nicolae Ciuca's presidential candidacy voted by PNL central leadership

Nicolae Ciuca was unanimously voted today by the central leadership of the PNL to run in the presidential elections.

The PNL leader says that the Liberals are now in the home straight for the presidential and parliamentary campaigns.

Nicolae Ciuca: I will be the one who will run for the Romanian presidency. I thank all my colleagues for their trust and I am convinced that only together with all the members of the National Liberal Party will we manage to enter the second round and win the presidential elections.

The candidacy will be approved by the party's National Council on September 15.
