Live firing exercises in Smardan range, Galati county

The Prefecture of Galati informs that until the end of the month live ammunition firing exercises will take place in the Smardan Combat Training Center.

These are routine activities, planned by the Galati Garrison, and the population should not panic, the authorities say, warning that for safety reasons, access to people, animals and vehicles is strictly forbidden within the perimeter of the range during the exercises.

Citizens are urged to respect the traffic restrictions imposed on the access roads to the range and the warning signs installed.

At the same time, the Galati Garrison reminds that access is permanently forbidden in the following areas: Paielor Forest, Valea Milosului Forest and the districts of military targets and objectives.
