Informal meeting of EU Ministers of Research and Innovation in Bucharest
Meeting starts on April 2nd with a visit to High Power Laser System of Extreme Light Infrastructure – Nuclear Physics Center (ELI-NP), on Măgurele platform.

Ministers of Research and Innovation from EU Member States will have an informal meeting in Bucharest, on 3 April, in the context of Romania’s EU Council Presidency.
Meeting will be chaired by Romanian Minister of Research and Innovation, Nicolae Hurduc. European Commission will be represented by European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas.
Meeting starts on Tuesday, 2 April, with a visit to the High Power Laser System of the Extreme Light Infrastructure – Nuclear Physics Center (ELI-NP), on the Măgurele platform. Program continues with an official dinner at the Royal Palace.
On Wednesday, 3 April, Ministers meet at Palace of Parliament to discuss, within two sessions, priority subject matters on R&D agenda of Romania’s EU Presidency.
First session will be dedicated to identifying measures to increase and expand scientific excellence across the European Union.
Second session will address scientific cooperation within the Black Sea basin, and ways to increase degree of capitalizing on the potential of scientific collaboration in this area.
