The average net salary in Romania was 5.647 lei in April, down 44 lei from the previous month, according to the National Institute of Statistics.
The highest salaries were in the oil and natural gas extraction industry, over 14.000 lei, followed by information technology services, approximately 12.500 lei.
The lowest salaries were in the HoReCa sector - over 3.300 lei, and in clothing manufacturing - almost 3.500 lei.
In the public sector, the average net salary decreased slightly compared to the previous month, with the most significant decrease being in education - minus 2.4%.
