Funding through the National Program for Reducing School Dropout Rates in Romania has had a positive impact on beneficiary schools, especially those at high risk, according to a World Bank report on the first phase of this program. The evolution of indicators shows that the support measures implemented have led to significant improvements in teacher retention, promotion rates, and participation in national assessments.
In unfunded schools, progress has been slower, indicating that the lack of additional resources may lead to the persistence of vulnerabilities. The report published on Monday by the Ministry of Education highlights that the involvement of all eligible schools that have not yet accessed the available funds must be encouraged and that the administrative procedures for implementation must be organised more efficiently.
