Government approves election of mayors in two round vote

Bucharest Government has approved on Thursday, project regarding election of mayors in two round vote and will take responsibility for this legislative initiative.

Executive will send the Parliament a letter on Monday. PSD acting President Marcel Ciolacu has announced that the Social Democrats will file a censorship motion with the UDMR.

President of PRO Romania, Victor Ponta, has appreciated that assuming responsibility in this case can be declared unconstitutional, considering that there are still less than six months until local elections.
