General Ciucă at the birthday anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II

Chief of the Romanian Defense Staff, General Nicolae Ciucă, is attending, on Saturday, 9 June, the Trooping the Color ceremony in London, marking the public celebration for the 92nd birthday of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, according to a statement issued by the Romanian Ministry of National Defense (MApN).

According to the quoted source, General Ciucă is thus responding to the invitation of his British counterpart, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach.

"This represents an acknowledgment of the good cooperation relations between the two armies and constitutes a good opportunity to promote, at the military level, the interests of the Romanian Armed Forces in the relationship with the British Army, one of our most important allies", the MApN communiqué says.
