Finance Minister: Protesters' grievances are justified

The list of demands includes, among others, a balanced communication of employees' work results to correct their public image, a status for financiers, realistic work standards, digitalization, depoliticization, modern training, a motivating salary mechanism, rewarding performance and additional effort.

A delegation from the SindFISC union - which organized the protest - had discussions with Minister Alexandru Nazare.

Before the meeting, it stated that dialogue is necessary, and the change in the institution must be made in agreement with all organizations.

Alexandru Nazare: These are justified grievances. These are grievances that we cannot satisfy at this time, but it is important to have a dialogue. We must thoroughly analyze each request in detail and see how many of these requests can be satisfied. The idea, for example, of having work standards is something that I agree with. We have already started such an action in the Ministry of Finance, so that we have a very clear record of the activity of each department, each person. So, there are things that we can achieve together.
