The Alliance for the Unity of Romanians is preparing several amendments to the draft state budget

In opposition, the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians is already preparing several amendments to the draft state budget for this year. The formation could support the normative act in parliament only if its proposals are also taken into account, said the leader of the AUR senators, Petrisor Peiu.

Petrisor Peiu: In the current context, we must return to the standard VAT rates of 19%, reduced by 9%. The second condition is related to the effective reduction of expenses on different categories, goods and services, we have explained them, personnel expenses, interest expenses. Thirdly, self-censorship regarding the spending of amounts taken from specific external loans. We would like to see in the draft budget law a reflection of the global energy crisis and an easing of the fiscal burden regarding fuels.

After the parliamentary debates on this year's budget, AUR will decide whether or not to file a motion of censure against the Government.
