Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu: Change is only made together

Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu says that during the mandate she took on Thursday, she will do everything within her powers to simplify the lives of citizens and change the way public institutions are perceived.

In a video message, she emphasized that change can only be made together.

Oana Gheorghiu: I know that every person in this country wants to live better. We all want a better Romania. I also know that only together can we do this. I believe in Romania, I believe in our chance to have a better life, we have the resources, we have the energy, we just lack trust, the trust that the state really cares about us, and maybe also the state's trust that citizens will someday trust it. My role here is to help and lend a shoulder to build this trust. I believe in Romania and I believe that together we can change things.

Oana Gheorghiu took the oath of office yesterday before President Nicusor Dan.

She will fill the position left vacant after Dragos Anastasiu resigned in August, with responsibilities in the areas of reform, digitalization and debureaucratization.
