Chisinau: 3rd edition of the Economic Forum organized under the auspices of the Royal Family of Romania

Representatives of the diplomatic, academic and business circles from Romania, Poland, Latvia, Italy and other countries are taking part in the third edition of the Economic Forum, organized under the auspices of the Royal Family of Romania, in Chisinau on Monday and Tuesday.

The event aims to boost investment and economic cooperation in the region.

Opening the event, President Maia Sandu underlined the importance of economic cooperation with Romania, stressing that Romanian investments directly contribute to the modernization of the Republic of Moldova and its rapprochement with the European Union.

Maia Sandu: Romania is not only our strategic partner, it is also our soul partner. No other country has invested more, believed more and supported us more constantly in our European journey.

The event was also attended by His Royal Highness Prince Radu.

Prince Radu: Today, for the first time at the forum, there is a panel dedicated to agriculture and this is something we are very happy about. Our countries have relied for hundreds of years on agriculture, but also for a strategic reason, because this part of the world has a say in this very important area of the economy.

President Maia Sandu welcomed Her Majesty Margareta and His Royal Highness Prince Radu to the Presidency on Monday.

She thanked them for the constant support of the Royal Family in the Republic of Moldova's modernization efforts and its integration into the European Union.
