AUR will challenge in court the decisions of local councils to increase property and car taxes

AUR announces that it will challenge in court, through its local elected representatives, the decisions of local councils to increase property and car taxes, which it considers illegal and unconstitutional.

In the case of car taxes, these have increased directly through the introduction of an additional component presented as a penalty for pollution and through the excise duty included in the price of fuel, say AUR representatives, who point out that this ultimately amounts to a triple penalty for the same alleged offense, namely pollution.
