President Nicusor Dan's message on the occasion of March 8

Romania still has a lot to do to ensure respect, equal opportunities and protection for every woman, President Nicusor Dan said in a March 8 message posted on Facebook.

The head of state said that not all women receive flowers and appreciation today and mentioned single mothers, victims of domestic violence or those who managed to get out of toxic relationships, as well as grandmothers living alone.

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and PSD President Sorin Grindeanu also sent congratulatory messages on International Women's Day.
