USR challenged the BEC decision on the vote recount

USR has challenged at the Bucharest Court of Appeal the decision of the Central Electoral Bureau regarding the recount of all the votes from the first round of the presidential elections, and the court has set a deadline for Monday, December 2, for the trial.

USR is calling for the decision to be annulled and suspended until the case is resolved, considering it totally unjustified, a huge abuse and a direct attack on democracy in Romania and the people's vote.

According to a press release by the Save Romania Union (USR), the Constitutional Court's request to recheck and recount all ballot papers, which led to the BEC decision, would be outside the legal provisions.
