This year's budget problems are unrelated to the 2024 budget deficit, says PSD

PSD criticises what it calls an attempt to manipulate public opinion by claiming that the current budgetary problems were caused by last year's deficit and announces that it will propose a series of substantial measures to drastically cut privileges to the governing coalition in the coming period.

The Social Democratic Party points out in a statement that it did not govern alone in 2024 or in previous years.

PSD also says that it took over the leadership of the government in the context of the general strike in education two years ago and against a backdrop of multiple union pressures for benefits and salary increases.
