Universities will be able to financially support students from their own funds

Universities will be able to grant, from their own funds, scholarships and support to students, regardless of whether they are financed from the budget or with a fee, throughout the academic year.

The Ministry of Education specifies, in a press release, that the economic situation does not allow this flexibility even for the funds at the ministry's disposal.

Daniel David said that he will participate in the debates and discussions organized by representative student associations to jointly seek ways to support students in the context of the fiscal-budgetary crisis and that he will also support the modification of the regulations generated by this situation, as soon as the country's fiscal-budgetary situation allows it.

The minister met these days with the main student organizations in the country, which criticized the order introducing new rules and limitations for granting scholarships.
