Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse

Several events scheduled for today will mark tomorrow’s Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse (The Universal IA Day) - celebrated each year on June 24, one day before summer’s solstice (“Sânziene” traditional festival/fair – part of Romanian local folklore).

The Department of Language, Literature, History and Art of the University of Pitesti marks the event, and abroad there will be lots of events, especially in Italy and France.

In Rome, at the Accademia di Romania, there is the event entitled "Sânziene, magic night", where Radio Romania is a media partner, while in the capital of France, at the Embassy of Romania, there will be a classical music recital.
