Traffic has reopened on Transalpina and Transfagarasan

On Friday, traffic resumed on Transalpina and Transfagarasan.
On National Road 67 C Transalpina, the snow has been cleared, and from 9:00 a.m., traffic resumed on the section of road between Ranca, in Gorj County, and Curpat, in Alba County.
On this section, the speed limit is 30 km/h, and vehicles heavier than 3.5 tons are prohibited.
The director of the Regional Roads and Bridges Directorate in Brasov, Tudor Dutu, made several recommendations for those who will be traveling on Transfagarasan, which is currently open to traffic.
Tudor Dutu: We advise road users to drive carefully. It is a very dangerous mountain road, and we also advise them not to feed the bears. There were many incidents last year, and there have even been a few this year, so we advise them to avoid doing this.
