The ruling coalition could set the date for this year's presidential elections at a meeting on Wednesday.
The announcement was made by Senate President Nicolae Ciuca, leader of PNL.
It is true that when we discussed the election calendar, it was agreed, without being formalised, that the election date would be in September. I believe that the most important thing - beyond the parties' stakes - is to see the interest of the citizen, and the citizen's interest must be translated into debates that will convince people of what will be projected in the upcoming electoral debate.
For the presidential elections, the dates of 15 and 29 September have been put forward in the public arena.
