The new structure of the executive branch, featuring five deputy prime ministers for the first time, has been enshrined in law through an emergency ordinance adopted late Monday evening by the Bolojan government in its first meeting after being sworn in. Of the five deputy prime ministers, three do not have a ministerial portfolio.
One of the deputy prime ministers without a portfolio will coordinate state reform and the process of streamlining the activity of public institutions. And because the parliamentary recess is approaching, the normative act establishing the areas in which the government will be able to issue simple ordinances during the summer was also approved. These include finance and the economy, foreign affairs, foreign investment, and European projects.
