Since the start of the voting process, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has received 140 complaints about possible electoral incidents.
Most of them concerned the photographing or videotaping of ballot papers, as well as the continuation of election propaganda.
Spokesperson Monica Dajbog: In Ilfov county, investigations are being carried out after the president of a polling station reported discrepancies between the number of voters who voted and the number of signatures on the electoral roll. Police officers from Prahova were notified by a man that a minibus registered in Vrancea county was traveling in Campina municipality, and there were suspicions that it was transporting people for electoral purposes. Following checks carried out, it was established that the vehicle in question was in fact transporting 44 high school students, accompanied by teachers who were on a field trip. In the county of Teleorman, two men from the same locality are being investigated for the crime of multiple voting after allegedly voting twice. A woman from the municipality of Braila is being investigated for vote fraud after she voted, but checks found that she had lost her Romanian citizenship and therefore her right to vote.
