Starting this spring, travelers will find it easier to get from Giurgiu to Ruse and vice versa. The necessary steps are being taken to introduce direct bus routes between the two cities.
RRA correspondent Marcela Petcu has the details: "The authorities in Giurgiu and Ruse have begun steps to introduce buses connecting Romania and Bulgaria directly. The project aims to open a regular public transport link between the two cities.
Ovidiu Andrei, director of the local transport company in Giurgiu, said: "This is currently possible, as a proposal, by running two regular services in the morning and two in the afternoon. The routes will be agreed upon by both companies.
The connection will offer a convenient alternative for both citizens and tourists.
-: For those who want to go shopping or for a walk, it's very good.
-: This will be very good for both Romanians and Bulgarians, so that people who don't have a car can come by car and stay longer.
The documentation for the implementation of this direct route between Romania and Bulgaria is currently being prepared, with a view to launching it this spring.
